DrEuan Doidge

Dr Euan Doidge is a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is the founding Co-Director of the Centre for Chemistry Education.

Euan completed his MChem at The University of Edinburgh in 2014. He was awarded a prestigious Principal’s Career Development Scholarship to remain at the university to pursue a PhD in Chemistry, which he completed in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Jason Love and Prof. Peter Tasker. Euan then joined Imperial College London as a Teaching Fellow in April 2018.

Euan is interested in various areas of Chemistry Education research, including:

• learning analytics to monitor student engagement, retention, and progression 
• new technologies for visualisations in teaching and learning (AR/VR) 
• learning through play - teaching and sense of community and belonging through game play and instructional design 
  and more!

In chemistry, from mining nickel from rocks, to recycling gold from waste electronics, his research exploits coordination and supramolecular chemistry to develop and better understand chemical separation processes for more efficient and environmentally friendlier metal production.
