BIO

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, with further training in biostatistics (MSc) and epidemiology (PhD).

My research focuses on cancer epidemiology, particularly in understanding cancer etiology and the mechanisms through which risk factors – such as diet and obesity – contribute to cancer development. By integrating traditional epidemiological approaches with molecular techniques, my work aims to identify novel molecular targets for cancer prevention and to map the biological pathways involved. I also have extensive experience in evidence synthesis methods, including meta-analyses and umbrella reviews, to support robust interpretation of findings in cancer research.
