BIO

In 2016 I left my full time role as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at Imperial College London in 2016, but continue in an honorary position at the Department of Surgery and Cancer | Institute of Global Health Innovation.

I currently work at Microsoft AI (Health), having previously served in executive leadership positions at DeepMind, Google Health and UnitedHealth Group.

Personal highlights from my time at Imperial that continue to shape my work and partnerships with ICL colleagues include;

- As part of my PhD in Behavioural Economics, I co-authored the Cabinet Office Mindspace report, which provides a framework for designing effective public policy utilising the latest insights from behavioural economics. This was subsequently used as the initial operating framework for the work of the Behavioural Insights Team, established by the UK Prime Minister.

- I co-founded the HELIX Centre, a joint initiative between Imperial and the Royal College of Art and the first design centre in a European hospital.

- I developed one of the earliest research programme in digital health helping lead the development of nearly a dozen digital health products. I co-founded Hark, a clinical task management platform that was acquired by Google in 2016
