Dheeya Rizmie holds a PhD Health Economics from the Department of Economics & Public Policy, supervised by Dr. Marisa Miraldo and Dr. Laure de Preux, of the Imperial College Business School. She is currently a Climate & Health Researcher at Mathematica (US).
Her PhD explored the heterogeneous impacts of temperature across age, socioeconomic deprivation, and disease on emergency hospital admissions. Other research includes assessing the health impacts of ambient air pollution using a multi-pollutant framework and the impacts of ambient air pollution on quality of sleep.
Dheeya was module leader for Health & Environment as part of the MSc International Health Management program. She was a Teaching Assistant for Business Economics (MSc 2018-19, 2020-21), Social Research Methods (iBSc 2018-21), Analytics for Applied Economics and Business (MSc 2018-21), and Quantitative Methods (MSc 2018-21).
