BIO
I am an ecologist, focussing on the use of data and models to help us understand the patterns and processes that structure the diversity and function of the natural world.
I work with Professor Rob Ewers (Imperial), using the unique long-term and multi-disciplinary data on rainforest ecology from the SAFE project to develop the Virtual Ecosystem whole ecosystem model. I also work with Professor Sandy Harrison (Reading) and Professor Colin Prentice (Imperial) on the Lemontree project, which is developing next-generation terrestrial biosphere models. I lead the development of the `pyrealm` package, which provides a framework for developing and adopting new advances in biosphere modelling.
