BIO

David Gaboriau is a Microscopy Specialist at the Facility for Imaging by Light Microscopy (FILM) at Imperial College.

Prior to joining FILM in 2015, David combined cell biology and biochemical approaches with High Content microscopy to carry out research in the fields of DNA replication and cell cycle control with Corrado Santocanale and in centrosome and cilia biology with Ciaran Morrison, both at the Centre for Chromosome Biology in Galway, Ireland.

Previously, he worked on DNA repair pathways and the relationship between protein folding and functions with Laura Itzhaki at the MRC Cancer Unit in Cambridge, and in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry at KuDOS Pharmaceuticals/AstraZeneca, on the PARP inhibitor Olaparib (Lynparza®), after receiving his PhD in Cell Biology-Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK.
