TEACHING INTERESTS
Currently I teach on the following courses:
Thermodynamics, Gas Dynamics and Heat Transfer. This is a core course for first year undergraduates. It covers classical thermodynamics with a brief introduction to statistical mechanics, 1D isentropic flow and basic heat transfer.
Probability and Statistics:
This is a short lecture series that is part of the second year undergraduate mathematics course. It covers the basic elements of probability for those with no previous background, with applications to reliability/survival analysis. Some proofs (incl. Central Limit Theorem) are included.
Physiological Fluid Mechanics:
This lecture series forms half of the MEng final year elective 'Applications of Fluid Dynamics' module. Topics covered transport mechanisms (diffusion - random walk methods, convection, Krogh model), pulsatile and non-Newtonian flow, mechanics of breathing and aerosol transport.
Previous lecture courses include Numerical Methods, Propulsion and Turbomachinery, Wing Design, Viscous-Inviscid interaction, Transition and Turbulence.
