TEACHING INTERESTS
Cell Biology and Genetics: I am the course convenor for a first year undergraduate course focusing on molecular mechanisms in cell biology. The course teaches how cells are structured, and how their behaviour responds to internal genetic information and external signals, including pathogens. It provides training in sterile technique, genetic analysis, molecular biology, and the use of model organisms such as Drosophila.
Structural Biology: I lecture on the cryo electron microscopy aspects of a second year undergraduate course specializing in structural biology methods for understanding biology. This course provide an understanding of fundamental elements of molecular biochemistry, with particular focus on the structure-function relationship in macromolecules.
