ROYAL SOCIETY of science: ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE
Mathematical methods and machine learning algorithms for emerging quantum technologies

I am the Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at our Mathematics Department.

This programme is designed to support universities wishing to turn their world-leading research into commercial success. My remit is to foster collaboration between the Mathematics Department at Imperial College London, the UK quantum hubs and their industrial partners.

Please check the seminars page, the dedicated website, weekly departmental newsletter and the Events calendar for upcoming seminars, news and collaboration opportunities. The format will vary to adapt to circumstances and opportunities.

Over the next two years I will lead a series of seminars and initiatives focused on the latest innovation challenges in quantum technology which could benefit from your expertise. The main topic of the programme is Mathematical methods and machine learning algorithms for emerging quantum technologies.

Through links with the quantum hubs’ industrial partners, my activities will also stimulate opportunities for staff and students wishing to become involved in the development of emerging quantum-enabled applications, products and services.

Other opportunities
The Joseph Fourier Prize 2021

Win €10,000 by submitting a short description of your quantum research. Atos and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Hartree Centre Joseph Fourier Prize aims at rewarding the work of researchers, academics and industrial scientists in Quantum Computing.
