DrClement Favier

Clement is a research associate in the Musculoskeletal Mechanics group lead by Prof Anthony Bull. His research focuses on the development of durable, functional and affordable prosthetics for people with limb loss in challenging environments and low resource settings. In 2022, his work led to the creation of a spinout and social enterprise (GO Assistive Technology) that operates as industry partner to commercialise these game-changing devices.

Previously, Clement studied Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Montpellier (France), where he received a Diplôme d'Ingénieur (equivalent BEng MSc). He also graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers ParisTech with an MSc in Biomedical Engineering. He conducted his doctoral research on 'combined musculoskeletal and finite element modelling of the lumbar spine and lower limbs' within the Structural Biomechanics group at Imperial College London, under the supervision of Dr Andrew Phillips and Prof Alison McGregor.
