BIO
Clarissa is a Research Assistant in the Digital Health team at the Institute of Global Health Innovation. She currently leads research to evaluate the clinical effectiveness, user experience and acceptance of digital health tools using simulation-based research methods.
Clarissa is also a student on the MSc Healthcare and Design programme, working as part of the Interaction Foundry and in partnership with the Oremi Centre to develop a mental health self-management tool owned and developed for the Black community.
Passionate about improving representation in academia as well as personal and career development opportunities for early career professionals, Clarissa has led the development of the Julia Anderson Training Programme at IGHI which offers short-term, paid work experience for those at the early stage of their career.
Clarissa is also an active member of the Imperial As One staff and postgraduate student network for people of Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, and is currently supporting the organisation and advertisement of Imperial’s first BAME Early Careers Conference in STEMM & Business.
