BIO

Charlotte Li is a PhD student researching tobacco control and emerging tobacco and nicotine products. Her work aims to evaluate policies that reduce nicotine-related harms, protect young people, and address inequalities in tobacco and nicotine use. Her research focuses on the epidemiology of tobacco and nicotine product use, as well as policy areas including smoke-free and aerosol-free environments, taxation, health warnings, advertising and promotion bans, flavour restrictions, and cessation support. Her work primarily focuses on high-income countries, while also considering implications for policy development in low- and middle-income countries, with the aim of generating evidence to inform effective and equitable tobacco control policies.
