BIO
Carolyn is a Honorary Senior Lecturer working on the Foundations in Public Health Specialisation for the Masters in Public Health. She is also a Consultant in Public Health for Hackney and the City of London leading the children, young people and health protection portfolio. Additionally, Carolyn is a Partner at Ethica Health Partners, a boutique public health consultancy company.
Previously Carolyn was a Specialty Registrar on the UK Faculty of Public Health Training Scheme and completed placements at local, regional, national and NHS provider organisations. Before joining the training scheme, Carolyn worked as a Public Health Policy Officer for the London Borough of Southwark. Her portfolio covered substance misuse, including alcohol, as well as mental health and wellbeing.
In terms of training, Carolyn graduated from Imperial College London with a Masters in Chemistry in 2011. She also completed her Masters in Public Health at Imperial, graduating in in 2016. In between her two degrees, Carolyn spent some time in the private sector. Working for a global technical consultancy company she developed skills in strategy consulting, project management and the development and implementation of technical solutions.
