Chuanzi holds a BSc, MSc, MRes, and PhD in Economics from the University of Bristol, specialising in empirical industrial organisation and health economics. He currently works with Professor Marisa Miraldo and Professor James Barlow at the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Innovation (CHEPI).

 

His research sits at the intersection of industrial organisation and health economics, with a particular emphasis on pricing, demand, and innovation in healthcare. His recent work focuses on three interconnected areas: (1) the impact of buyer power on strategic investment in the healthcare sector; (2) innovation policy and the evolution of pharmaceutical innovation; and (3) demand for pharmaceuticals.
