DrCarla Siniscalchi

I was born in Italy in 1984. After graduating in Biotechnology at the University of Naples, I moved to London where I worked in SynBio at Imperial and then I obtained my PhD at University of Perugia developing gene drive systems based on TALENs and ZFNs as alternatives to HEGs for vector control. I then joined Imperial in 2016 as Research Associate acting as lab Manager in the lab of Andrea Crisanti, focused on developing novel strategy to control malaria, looking after the research technicians' team and running the lab.
