BIO

Claire joined Imperial College London in December 2019 as Programme Manager on a series of multidisciplinary, multi-institute grants focussed on the personal health impacts of the environment.

She is currently managing an EPSRC Micro Network Plus Grant called AI4URBAN HEALTH that will develop AI solutions to urban health using a place-based approach. Previous to this she worked on EPSRC-funded AI for Health project 'AI-Respire: AI for Personalised respiratory health and pollution' which developed a pollution and health impact predictive tool. This integrated the impact of pollution from cellular and respiratory scales, with respiratory health outcomes, ultimately to determine the individual responsiveness of the respiratory system to personal pollution exposure.

Claire has managed various other projects for Imperial College London including the Net Zero project Real-time digital optimisation and decision making for energy and transport systems. She also managed the 4-year, multidisciplinary, EPSRC-funded project INHALE: Health Assessment across biological length scales for personal pollution exposure and its mitigation which assessed the impact of air pollution on personal health in urban environments. Claire also managed ''COVAIR' Is SARS-CoV-2 airborne and does it interact with particle pollutants?'.

Before Imperial College London, Claire worked at the Overseas Development Institute for over 11 years, most recently as a Programme Operations and Business Manager with the Politics and Governance Programme. She was a Grants Administrative Officer with the Leverhulme Trust previous to this.

Claire has a BSc in Environmental Sciences and an MA in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia.
