BIO

My expertise lies at the interface between Quantum Field Theory, Gravity, Gravitational Waves, Cosmology, Particle Physics, Numerical Simulations and Theoretical Mathematical Physics where I lead the development and test new models and paradigm to probe the fundamental laws of Nature and uncover new layers in our understanding of Science.

See inSpires for a list of publications, Author Identifier: C.de.Rham.1 https://inspirehep.net/authors/1030566

My research has been ranked as one the most impactful in the field of fundamental physics in the past decade, recognised by multiple major grants, prizes and awards (ERC, RS Wolfson Research Merit Award, Simons Investigator, Blavatnik Laureate, ...).

Among other roles, I am currently acting as chair of the PPGPtheory STFC panel, director of the Abdus Salam Centre for Theoretical Physics and editor on three scientific journals.

Over the past year alone, I have given:

  • 13 radio interviews (9 live on major national channels, eg BBC,...),
  • 16 major features in national newspapers
  • 11 podcasts
  • 25+ public talks (eg. Ri, NewScientistLive featured Speaker, NYAS, multiple in front of 1000 live audience, selection available on youtube).
