BIO

Caleb Akhtar Martínez is a research assistant in contrail modelling. He obtained his BA and MEng from the University of Cambridge, where he worked on the configuration optimisation of a hybrid combustion aircraft retrofit. His PhD research has been focused on characterising the differences between available contrail models, including how to mitigate the differences in prediction in the context of contrail avoidance.
Currently, Caleb is working on quantifying the global warming impact of contrails by linking the detailed plume-scale models with Global Climate Models.
