BIO

Binghuan Li is a Research Postgraduate in the Biofluids and Transport Group, Department of Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on haemodynamic and biomechanical studies of aortic pathologies and endovascular palliative strategies, with particular emphasis on haemodynamic behaviour, vessel wall mechanics, and fluid-solid interactions in disease progression and post-repair mechanical environments.

Binghuan received an MEng in Biomedical Engineering with First Class Honours from the Department of Bioengineering in 2023. Between 2021 and 2023, he worked as a UG Research Assistant at the Cardiovascular Biomechanics and AI Laboratory. The title of his MEng thesis is "Surrogate Modelling of Fluid Dynamics within Various Vascular Geometries with Physics-Informed Neural Networks".

Binghuan is involved in the UG- and PG-level teaching and project supervision across the Departments of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering. His contributions have been recognised by Advance HE through Associate Fellowship status in 2025 and Fellowship status in 2026. He maintains a collection of publicly accessible teaching notes at https://binghuan.li/Notes/.
