BIO

Dr Bin Zhou is a Research Fellow in Health Analytics and Machine Learning in the Global Environmental Health Research Group and the Abdul Latif Jameel Institute for Disease and Emergency Analytics. Dr Zhou holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Imperial College London, and BEng, MEng and Bachelor of Economics from Tsinghua University.

Dr Zhou's research interests are in the intersection of global cardiovascular health, environmental health and data analytics. He has been working on the worldwide trends in cardiometabolic risk factors, treatment coverage and co-occurrences, as part of the Non-communicable Disease Risk Factor Collaboration (NCD-RisC). His work combines large-scale population-based health data and advanced statistical methods to provide scientific evidence to support global NCD prevention and management. He works closely with partners in World Health Organization and national public health agencies.

Dr Zhou is a World Heart Federation Salim Yusuf Emerging Leader, Professional Member of the European Society of Cardiology and the International Society of Global Health, and Editorial Board Member of Journal of the American Heart Association.
