MrBranwell Travers

Branwell Travers is a Senior Transport Analyst at the Transport Strategy Centre (TSC) at Imperial College London. He works across the TSC’s international benchmarking groups, developing industry case studies and delivering KPI analysis to identify best practice and support performance improvement across rail, metro, and bus networks. His work focuses on translating data and operational insight into practical recommendations that inform strategic decision-making for public transport operators globally.

Prior to joining the TSC, Branwell worked at the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), where he led strategic transport projects with a focus on stations and interchanges. He specialised in improving multi-modal connectivity, accessibility, and customer experience, delivering initiatives that shaped planning standards and supported investment decisions across Victoria’s public transport network.

Branwell also brings private sector consulting experience from MRCagney, where he contributed to the delivery of transport strategy and advisory projects across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on improving the sustainability and operational efficiency of urban transport systems.

He brings an integrated, multi-modal perspective to transport challenges, combining data and analysis with a strong understanding of operations, policy, and customer outcomes to support organisational improvement.

Branwell holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) from RMIT University.
