BIO

I am a PhD student in the Space, Plasma, and Climate community of Imperial's Physics Department. My doctoral research investigates how spectrally-resolved satellite observations of the Earth can help to investigate errors in weather and climate models on the level of physical processes. My work so far has involved exploring the capabilities of novel satellite missions, including PREFIRE and EarthCARE. I am supervised jointly by Helen Brindley (Imperial) and Robin Hogan (ECMWF). The PhD is funded through the NERC "Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet" Doctoral Training Partnership, based at the Grantham Institute at Imperial.

Before starting my PhD, I completed a Masters in Physics at Oxford. My research in Oxford involved implementing and characterising a method for rapid detection of volcanic gas emissions using data from the CrIS and IASI infrared satellite instruments.
