RESEARCH

My research combines observational cosmology, astrophysics, and statistical methodology. My main interests are:

  • Galaxy surveys: analysis of photometric and spectroscopic surveys, including photometric redshifts, selection effects, and spatial systematics.
  • Fundamental physics and cosmology: constraints on neutrino masses and searches for primordial non-Gaussianity, using large-scale structure.
  • CMB polarisation and lensing: map-making and component separation using novel wavelet-based methods on the sphere.
  • Statistical models of Milky Way stars: hierarchical inference of stellar populations and distances.
  • Methodology: hierarchical Bayesian inference, simulation-based inference, emulators, and forward modelling for billion-object surveys.

Much of my current work centres on preparing for and exploiting data from the Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST).
