BIO

Ben is a Consultant in Public Health with experience as a clinician on the frontline in the NHS, leading academic research programmes, and putting evidence-based public health policy into practice.

As joint Director of Population Health at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Ben brings a Public Health perspective into acute and specialist care. He leads the Population Health team, using data and system partnerships to prevent illness, better meet health and care needs, and improve outcomes across the north west London population.

Together with his team, Ben focuses on improving health equity, better connecting hospital services with local communities, and embedding population-level thinking and ill-health prevention into Trust strategy and decision making.

He has worked in multiple local authorities, healthcare providers (acute, community and primary care), integrated care systems, universities and national government.

As an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, Ben's research focuses on how health and care organisations can advance health equity and improve overall population health.
