RECENT ARTICLES FEATURING MY WORK
Imperial MBBS medics deliver action plans (Imperial College London), New video shows we are open for business, and Trust help launch Community Champions project (QPR FC) feature the work which Dr Nina Dutta, Dr Nicky Hawkins and myself undertook around COVID-19 projects with third-year medical students and community leaders.
For several years now I have been an active member of North West London Community Voices; our recent work, led by Samira Ben Omar and Janet Wildman, has featured NHS Confed health inequalities article.
RNHS project wins football business award (QPR FC) features an NHS signposting campaign which I ran in partnership with multiple NHS and community colleagues. The campaign materials received 100K hits via social media and won a Bronze award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.
In 2018-2019 I undertook baseline surveys in local GP practices to explore the status of Patient Participation Groups. On establishing that there was significant inconsistency across the borough, I undertook some qualitative work to explore why this was the case and how it might best be remedied. In response to the findings I worked with Patient Representatives, Professor Lis Paice and the London Leadership Academy to co-design, pilot and evaluate a PPG leadership course.
In 2018 I worked with LGBT Foundation to roll out the Pride in Practice initiative across North West London. Our region was selected on the basis of my patient and public engagement work with Mosaic LGBT Youth Centre, which determined the need for the initiative locally.
