Dr Ahmetaj-Shala contributes to teaching by delivering lectures, designing and assessing coursework, providing student feedback, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Previous roles at Imperial College London include Interim Co-Director of the MSc Bioscience Futures, Module Leader for the MSc Bioscience Futures and BSc Medical Biosciences programmes, and Assessment Leader for the iBSc Respiratory Medicine programme.
