BIO

Dr. Barradas-Pires earned an MD in 2009 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and completed her Cardiology training in 2015, also in Barcelona. She pursued further training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona (2016-2017) and at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London (2017-2018). Since 2018, she has worked as a Consultant Cardiologist for the NHS.

Holding an MSc in Health Economics from LSE and an MSc in Health Data Analysis and Machine Learning from Imperial College London, she completed her PhD research focusing on the feasibility and cost-effectiveness analysis of specific public health policies and interventions in ACHD & PH populations. Her research interests also encompass the application of Big Data and Machine Learning tools to clinical and population data.

Professional Memberships
She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the Spanish Society of Cardiology and an elected member of the “Young Spanish Cardiologists” Committee.

Teaching
Dr Barradas-Pires has served as a Collaborator Teacher at the UAB, Faculty of Medicine, Barcelona, Spain.
