TEACHING INTERESTS
Education
I enjoy developing the next generation of convergence scientists through project-based education, innovation training and close partnerships with industry. I founded and direct the MRes in Cancer Innovation at Imperial College London, an interdisciplinary programme that combines cancer biology, engineering, entrepreneurship and clinical translation. The programme brings together students, clinicians, industry partners and entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions to unmet healthcare challenges, while creating a vibrant ecosystem that supports collaborative research across the College. The programme has rapidly become one of the Department’s most popular postgraduate pathways and provides a unique environment in which students develop the scientific, translational and entrepreneurial skills needed to address future healthcare challenges. The research environment emphasises independence, creativity and translation. Students from the ASR Group have been recognised through Dean’s Research Prizes, Royal Society of Chemistry awards and national conference prizes, reflecting both the quality of their research and the supportive, interdisciplinary environment within the group. I particularly enjoy supervising multidisciplinary research projects and mentoring students interested in working across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
