BIO
Within my current role, I am responsible for supporting the growth of the Transport Strategy Centre. My day-to-day duties include aiding the smooth running of the Centre’s ten consortia, which consists of ~130 public transport operators spanning aviation, bus, metro and rail and more recently telecoms. Our client base has a global reach. My fundamental role with regards to assisting with our client portfolio includes, but not limited to, finance governance, client meeting coordination and procuring travel for all our staff and PhD students to assist with the client international meetings which occur frequently. I am also responsible for the operation and administrative functions of the Centre, its staff and students. In summary, my role encompasses a remit of HR, Finance, Health & Safety, PR, Office Management and Procurement under overall direction from our two Co-Directors, Richard Anderson, Managing Director & Co-Director and Professor Dan Graham, Head of Centre for Transport Engineering and Modelling & Co-Director of TSC whilst providing support to a vast portfolio of stakeholders.
Having left the private sector, I initially joined the College in August 2005 working in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health, School of Public Health as the Deputy Departmental Administrator. Before then I worked in the pharmaceutical industry supporting two Units as the P.A. and Technical Administrator to both the Head of Device Technology & the Head of Pulmonary Research within R & D for 3 years. Prior to that, I worked in the engineering industry as the Senior Administrator and Branch Office Support for a very large commercial company for 5 years.
I have a BSc. Honours Degree in Psychology and an MSc. in Public Health.
