BIO
Lexi completed her PhD in the Division of Psychiatry at Imperial College London. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Manchester and a Master of Science degree in Translational Neuroscience from Imperial College London. Subsequently, Lexi was awarded a 3.5 year Medical Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership and joined the Addiction group under the supervision of Professor Anne Lingford-Hughes, Dr. Louise Paterson and Dr. Adam Hampshire. Her PhD research focused on the role of impulsivity in substance use and addiction, with a particular focus on the association between impulsivity and resting state connectivity.
Following her PhD Lexi was awarded the SSA post-doctoral transitional development award to continue her research as a post-doctoral research associate in the addictions team at King's College London working with Professor Sir John Strang on the detection and prevention of opioid overdose.
In addition to her work in neuroscience research, Lexi has a strong background in medical writing including clinical writing, regulatory submissions, project management and HEOR projects.
