BIO
I am a Reader in the Department of Aeronautics. The focus of my group's research is the development of new computational optimization methods to interrogate, model and improve the performance of fluid mechanical systems. Particular applications include active control of bluff-body flows, data-driven flow modelling, aeroservoelastics, and the developement of automatic methods to rigorously bound fundamental properties of fluid mechanical systems.
*Open Position*: We are currently hiring for a 2-year PDRA to study optimal heat transfer problems in fluid mechanics as part of the EPSRC project ‘UKRI4171: 'MOST definitely': Mobilising Optimal Scalar Transport using semidefinite programmes.’ The expected start-date is summer/autumn 2026.
Further information about project MOST:def can be found here.
