DrAnna Troger

Anna Tröger is a Research Associate in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on affective disorders, with particular interests in bipolar disorder, cognition, sleep, and their underlying neurobiological mechanisms.

Anna completed a joint PhD at King's College London and TU Dresden, Germany. Her doctoral research examined cognitive functioning and sleep in bipolar disorder, with a particular focus on EEG markers of cognition and sleep processes such as sleep spindles.

She holds a Research Master's degree in Clinical and Developmental Psychopathology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a BSc in Psychology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. She also completed an Erasmus semester at the University of Warsaw.

Anna has published several peer-reviewed articles on affective disorders, including work on EEG markers of cognitive performance in bipolar disorder, sleep neurophysiology, and psychotherapy outcomes in depression.
