DrAnil Sindhwani

I am a researcher with a focus on urban politics, political activism, geographies of the state, and housing. I am a Research Associate on the WellHome II project within the Environmental Research Group. The project studies the health impacts of energy retrofit in South London council housing. It's research that connects housing policy directly to the wellbeing of residents in some of the city's most underserved communities.

I have a PhD in Human Geography at Durham University, funded by the ESRC’s Northern Ireland and North East Doctoral Training Partnership. Before beginning doctoral studies, I worked for the New York Housing Authority in New York City. My background is from across the social sciences, from political philosophy, sociology, and urban geography.
