BIO

I am a molecular biologist by training, with over ten years of experience in genetic vector control, CRISPR and gene drives.
After my PhD at the Queen Mary University of London studying the genetics of the circadian clock of Drosophila melanogaster, I joined Imperial in 2011 as a PostDoc Research Associate in the lab of Andrea Crisanti, focused on developing gene drives to control the human malaria mosquito. I then joined as scientific manager the company Polo d'Innovazione Genetica e Biologia (Polo GGB, Italy) for over four years. Currently I am a technical support specialist for Target Malaria, a research consortium developing genetic technologies to control the malaria mosquito.
