BIO

NEWS:

Thank you to all those who attended our stand on Structural Coloring at the Imperial Festival. We had a lot of fun. See you all next year!

I have obtained my Bachelor degree in Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials (2007) and a PhD in Physics (2011) from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. I subsequently moved to the Physics Department of Imperial College London, where I have worked as a Research Associate since 2012. In October 2016, I was awarded the Royal Society University Research Fellowship to work on the use of biomimetic approaches in nanophotonic systems. My other research interests include light-matter interactions, interactions at nano-bio interfaces, functionalisation of nanoparticles and their selective attachment to substrates, and spectroscopic studies of functional nano-bio systems.
