BIO
Before joining Imperial College London, Agnese held research and teaching positions at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi School of Management, where her work centred on health policy, public management, and welfare innovation. She investigated how governance structures, behavioural insights, and digital transformation influence the organisation and delivery of healthcare and social services, with particular attention to patient-centred care, adolescent mental health, and the wellbeing of vulnerable population groups.
Her research and advisory activities have involved collaborations with Italian institutions at both national and local levels, as well as with international organisations such as UNICEF. She has also contributed to research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and supported by European Union programmes, focusing on public sector innovation, welfare systems, and health equity.
Throughout her career, Agnese has been engaged in cross-sectoral collaborations that connect academic research with policy design and service delivery. Her work often bridges the perspectives of public administration, health economics, and behavioural policy, exploring how evidence-based strategies can inform institutional reform and improve citizens’ access to care and social protection. This interdisciplinary approach reflects a broader commitment to the principles of accountability, participation, and inclusion in public health governance.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London, in collaboration with the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein and the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI), and funded by the Bezos Earth Fund. Her doctoral research addresses the role of consumer perception, marketing strategies, and policy design in promoting the adoption of sustainable protein sources, as part of a broader agenda to advance ethical, sustainable, and equitable food systems.
