DrAnna Ogier

Dr Anna Ogier is an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. Anna is also an Academic Clinical Fellow (ACF) in Public Health Medicine at University College London, and is currently completing her ST1 year of Public Health training at Southwark Council. 

Anna previously worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow within the Undergraduate Public Health Education team (UGPH) at Imperial. Anna is passionate about helping medical students feel empowered to minimise health inequities through their clinical practice, and believes strongly in the importance of an inclusive medical curriculum in order to achieve this. For her contributions as a CTF, Anna recieved the Imperial College School of Medicine Teaching Fellow Excellence Award. Anna has also gained Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and successfully completed a PGCert in Clinical Education at Imperial College London.

Anna's interest in population health and clinical academia grew during her medical degree at the University of Bristol. Through her key roles in Students for Global Health and Bristol Friends of MSF, Anna ran Global Health short courses and work-shops for student peers to develop an understanding of health inequity utilising a local lens. Anna also developed her skills in clinical research as an undergraduate student, and was awarded the Alzheimer's Society Undergraduate grant and the Kidney Research UK Intercalated Degree award to support completion of clinical research projects and an intercalated degree in Health Sciences BSc.

Anna developed her interest in medical education during an elective at the University of Bristol, and continued gaining teaching experience whilst working as a Foundation Doctor in South-West London and Surrey. Anna was awarded the F2 Merit Award for Outstanding Contribution for Medical Education by her Foundation Trust. Anna is interested in teaching in multiple modalities, from small-group tutorials, simulations to written text, and has contributed to chapters on Sexual Health and Women's Health for a revision text-book.
