BIO

Anna McCormick is the Department Resource Manager in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She manages staff processes within the department, including strategically leading on processes such as promotions exercises, annual review conversations and recruitment. She helps in supporting the DICE (Diversity, Inclusion, Culture & Equity) committee through the collation, maintenance and analysis of staff information, as well as developing and supporting the implementation of action plans.

Her role is integral to supporting the strategic decisions of the Department, with the aim of improving various aspects of the Department’s performance, processes and culture.

Previously, she worked as the EA to the Head of Department, before that, she worked as a Programme and Advocacy Manager at Soroptimist International, a global women's rights organisation.

Anna holds a BA International Studies with French and a MA Human Rights, specialising in women's rights. She successfully completed an internship at UN Women, New Delhi. Her Masters dissertation discussed 'Access to justice for those experiencing gender violence in South Asia'.

She is a fully qualified Sexual Violence Liaison Officer (SVLO) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and is working towards a Diploma in Management & Leadership (CMI). She won a ‘President’s Award for Excellence’ for her commitment to EDI.
