TEACHING INTERESTS

Prof Majumdar lectures on the following modules:

i) Transport safety and risk at the MEng and MSc. level;

ii) Highway engineering at the MEng and MSc. level;

iii) Air transportation at the MSc. Level.

iv) The Science of Crowds: Movement, Behaviour and Design at the Year 2 and Year 3 I-Explore level.

v) Transport Group Design Projects both for MEng and MSc. level.

His teaching methods are based upon a "flipped classroom" approach with extensive use of Teams Based Learning.



In terms of ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education, he has been the External Examiner for the following MSc. courses:
a) MSc. Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management at the University of Leicester, 2016-2022;
b) MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessment in Aeronautics at Cranfield University, 2013-2016

He has also examined 25 PhD theses as both internal and external examiner, including theses at Lund TH (Sweden), University of Twente (2), Loughborough University, UCL (2), University of Sydney and the University of Bergamo.
