BIO

I am a second-year PhD student at the Machine Intelligence and Neural Dynamics (MIND) Lab at the Department of Computing of Imperial College London, supervised by Dr. Pedro Mediano.

My research focuses on physical and biological complex systems, with an emphasis on how collective dynamics and higher-order statistical dependencies emerge from interactions among system components.

Specifically, I develop methods grounded in multivariate information theory to characterise how information is spatiotemporally stored, transmitted, and integrated in large systems, paying particular attention to the characterisation of synergistic interactions that comprise collective dependencies.

I then apply these tools to neuroimaging data to investigate the organisation of brain activity across different states of consciousness. By quantifying changes in information dynamics, my work aims to develop robust, interpretable biomarkers of consciousness with direct applications in clinical monitoring and diagnosis.
