BIO
I am interested in the fluid mechanics of the environment and climate, with a focus on how small-scale turbulence affects density-stratified flows such as those in the ocean and atmosphere.
My current research is funded by a NERC Independent Research Fellowship and integrates recent innovations and data from laboratory experiments, numerical simulations, and field observations. The goal is to connect small-scale physics with large-scale operational models to better understand and predict processes underlying major environmental challenges.
For PhD or postdoctoral opportunities: please contact me by email. I list potential sources of funding on my website.
There are PhD opportunities for a 2027 start with the Centre for Doctoral Training on "Mathematics for our Future Climate: Theory, Data and Simulation".
