ProfessorAllan Lawrie

Allan contributes to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education across Imperial, delivering lectures and small‑group teaching in cardiovascular and respiratory science, and providing academic tutoring and project supervision for MBChB medical students. He is Co‑Director of the British Heart Foundation Doctoral Training Programme, contributing to doctoral training strategy, curriculum development, and mentoring of early‑career researchers. Allan supervises PhD, MSc, intercalating and summer project students across experimental, computational, and digital health projects, with a strong emphasis on translational impact, interdisciplinary training, and the development of independent researchers.
