Anne Ioannides is a research associate in Medical Statistics/Epidemiology in the School of Public Health.
Anne's current research involves using UK-based electronic healthcare records to investigate the relationship between respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, and the pharmacological treatment thereof. Additionally, she uses electronic healthcare records to study the patient pathway of chronic respiratory diseases in England.
Anne completed her PhD using long-running national population-based surveys from the United States of America to investigate long-term musculoskeletal pain trends in the US population; at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Although her research interest has since shifted to data analytics, her background is originally biomedical and she has a BSc (Hons) in Experimental Physiology.
