BIO

I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. I lead Design and Manufacture 1 and Automotive Design with Motorsport, and contribute to design teaching and project supervision across the undergraduate programme.

As academic lead for Imperial Racing Green, I guide student teams working towards Formula Student and Shell Eco-marathon competitions. I also develop and lead the Motorsport Engineering Summer School, a five-day programme for A-level students combining vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and powertrains with practical activities, including building engines and assembling and racing modular kit cars.

My research and development projects include:

  • EduVision: machine vision and automated feedback for practical engineering tasks.
  • SimuLathe: an interactive virtual lathe for practising machining procedures.
  • Home-lab kits: hands-on engineering activities students can carry out beyond the laboratory.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering Design. Before joining Imperial in 2018, I worked as a design consultant and as a lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire.
