BIO

As Senior Teaching Fellow, I design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules on the Master of Public Health (online) programme and the intercalated BSc programme in Global Health. I currently lead the Life Course Public Health module on the MPH online and the research project module (module 3) on the BSc Global Health.

I obtained my PhD in Epidemiology of Maternal Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). I also have a background in Demography (MSc from LSHTM) and Mathematics (BSc from the University of California). After my PhD, I worked in global health research projects mainly in maternal and newborn health in low-resource settings in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa before joining Imperial College in 2019. I remain actively engaged in research on maternal and newborn health and welcome opportunities to collaborate with students and fellow researchers.

I am an Associate Editor of Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters and Maternal Health, Neonatology and Perinatology and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
