DrAhmed El-Medany

Dr El-Medany is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has contributed extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He has delivered large-group, small-group and bedside teaching across cardiology, ECG interpretation, clinical pharmacology, and acute medicine.

At Imperial College London, he has supervised eight medical students through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme, delivering a structured teaching programme covering clinical ECG interpretation, Python and machine learning, with students contributing to prospective AI-ECG research.

He also contributes to public and patient involvement activity within the Cardiac AI and Electrophysiology group and has held national trainee leadership roles, including as British Cardiovascular Society Digital and IT Committee trainee representative and co-creator of the BCS UK Cardiology Newsfeed, Heartbeat.
