BIO
Alessio leads the fundraising strategy for Imperial Business School and for Imperial's Enterprise division.
Previously he was Eden Project’s first Director of Philanthropy, after joining from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where, amongst other roles, he was Executive Director of Kew Foundation America.
Following an extensive career in finance and media, Alessio joined the charity sector 18 years ago, holding senior fundraising positions at CHASE hospice care for children and the Royal Horticultural Society before moving to Kew in 2013.
A past trustee of Jane Goodall Institute, UK, he also served as a member of the Development Committee at the Orange Tree Theatre (Richmond, Surrey) and is currently on the Advisory Board at Perfect Earth Project (East Hampton, NY).
In his spare time, Alessio enjoys sailing and watching cabaret shows with his performer husband Paulus.
