DrArman Darvish Sarvestani

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. My research is part of the PETRONAS-funded DSALT project, which aims to accelerate large-scale screening of CO₂ storage sites in saline aquifers and depleted hydrocarbon fields.

With a background in reservoir simulation and flow modelling, I develop analytical and computational methods to support large-scale assessment of subsurface storage systems. My research focuses on creating efficient, physics-based tools to evaluate site performance and guide decision-making for carbon storage and underground energy applications.

I hold a PhD in Petroleum Engineering, and my research interests span carbon capture and storage (CCS), dynamic site screening, and the role of subsurface heterogeneity in pressure and plume behaviour. I am particularly interested in bridging physical modelling with data-driven approaches to support robust and efficient decision-making for the energy transition.
