BIO

Alex is a designer at the Helix Centre, where he works on projects that improve health and healthcare through human-centred design.

 

He leads the Healthy Ageing programme, having designed a Healthy Habits app intervention and conducting multiple investigative feasibility studies to support older adults in maintaining their health and independence. Alex is also part of the Fleming Initiative, working on an educational intervention to improve understanding of and positive behaviours to prevent antimicrobial resistance for 14-16 year olds.

 

His previous work includes evaluating NHS end of life care services and collaborating with DEBRA, the charity supporting people with epidermolysis bullosa, a rare skin condition.
