MrAdrian D'Alessandro

Adrian has been a Research Software Engineer since 2018 and joined the Imperial RSE team in March 2020 and has been a Senior RSE since November 2022. He manages the HPC and RSE Experience Program.

After studying Physics and Applied Mathematics in his Undergraduate degree Adrian went on to complete a 2-year Masters research project in Climate Science focused on Extreme Event Attribution. Throughout his studies he learnt some general software engineering and completed his masters research using Matlab. He then began his Research Software Engineering career at the CSIRO, where he learnt Python and further developed his professional software development skills. At Imperial, he has worked on many projects ranging from model development to GUIs to web dashboards and API development with all four Faculties in the University.
